Hearing Loop

Hearing loops greatly improve the quality of communication between a member of the deaf community wearing a hearing aid and any one else.

The device converts sound into an electromagnetic signal which can be picked up by the hearing aid when its “T-switch” is selected. This not only improves the quality of the sound for the hearing aid wearer, it cuts out noise and other distracting sounds.

Hearing loops come in two fundamental classes:

- limited area loops for one to one conversation

- large area loops for one to many conversations
